How to reach us

What we answer

• Corrections and feedback. A height, mesh size, coverage figure or active ingredient that does not match current manufacturer documentation. Send the product and the source if you have it, and we will check and update the guide.
• Coverage requests. An animal, a barrier type or a product category you would like us to cover. We read all of these, though we cannot promise a timeline.
• Broken links and site problems. A page that will not load, a link that goes nowhere, or anything that looks wrong on your device. Tell us what browser and device you were using.
• Sponsorship and partnership enquiries. We will read your message and reply. Please read the next section first so you know what we can and cannot agree to.
• Guest post and contribution enquiries. We accept very few, and only where the writer can work to our research standards. Send a specific proposal rather than a general pitch.
• Privacy requests. Access, correction or deletion of personal information we hold about you. See the privacy policy for what we collect and how those requests are handled.

What we cannot help with

• Paid placement. We do not sell recommendations, rankings or favourable mentions, in any format, at any price.
• Product submissions for review. Our recommendations are built from published specifications and verified owner reports, not from samples, so there is nothing useful for us to do with a sample.
• Order, delivery, warranty or return problems. We are a publisher, not a retailer or a manufacturer. Contact the seller you bought from or the manufacturer directly.
• Emergencies and situations involving people or animals at risk. Contact your local animal control office, wildlife agency or emergency services. Do not wait on an email from us.
• Individual legal, veterinary, medical, pest control or agronomic advice. We publish general information. For advice on your specific property, animal or health situation, speak to a qualified professional in your area.

Writing a message we can act on

If you are reporting a specification error, the fastest possible message includes four things: the page it appears on, the figure we published, the figure you believe is correct, and where you found it. That turns a two week back and forth into a single reply.

Please do not send confidential or sensitive personal information by email. Email is not a secure channel, and we do not need it to answer any of the questions listed above.
