What you may do with the content on this site, what you may not, and how to ask for permission.
Last updated: August 31, 2026
01
Scope
These terms of use cover the content and materials published on yardtactic.com. They sit alongside our terms and conditions, which govern your general use of the site, and our privacy policy. Where the two overlap, read them together.
02
Ownership
All original text, headings, charts, comparison tables, specification summaries, page structures, layouts and graphics on this site are owned by Yard Tactic and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The way we organise and present information, including the tactic structure, the seasonal pressure charts and the specification tables, is part of that protected work.
Third party trademarks, brand names, product names and logos referred to on this site remain the property of their respective owners. We use them for identification and comparison only. Their presence here does not imply endorsement, sponsorship or affiliation.
03
What you may do
- Read, browse and use this site for your own personal, non commercial purposes.
- Print or save a copy of a page for your own reference, for example to take a mesh size and fence height to a hardware store.
- Share a link to any page, anywhere. Links are always welcome and never need permission.
- Quote a short extract in an article, forum post or discussion, provided it is clearly attributed to Yard Tactic and accompanied by a working link to the original page.
04
What you may not do
- Reproduce content without permission. Do not republish, copy, translate or redistribute whole articles, substantial extracts, charts or tables from this site on another website, in print, or in any other medium, without our prior written consent.
- Use the content commercially. Do not use our material in a product, a course, a paid newsletter, a marketing asset, a video script or any other commercial work without a licence from us.
- Scrape or access the site automatically. Do not use crawlers, scrapers, harvesters, headless browsers or any automated system to extract content, specifications or tables from this site, and do not attempt to bypass rate limiting, bot protection or access controls.
- Use our content to train models or build datasets without our prior written consent.
- Remove or alter attribution. Do not strip copyright notices, credits or disclosure statements from anything you are permitted to reproduce.
- Misrepresent us. Do not frame the site inside another, present our content as your own, or imply that Yard Tactic endorses you, your product or your business.
- Interfere with the site. Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access, probe for vulnerabilities, introduce malicious code, or place a load on our servers that interferes with other visitors.
05
Requesting permission
We do grant permission, and more often than people expect. Educational use, extension and master gardener programs, and non commercial community groups are usually straightforward. Write to hello@yardtactic.com and tell us what you want to use, where it will appear and for how long, and we will reply.
06
Copyright complaints and DMCA notices
We respect the intellectual property of others and expect the same in return. If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, send a notice to legal@yardtactic.com including all of the following.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
- The exact URL on this site where the material appears.
- Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We review valid notices promptly and will remove or disable access to infringing material where the complaint is substantiated. If you believe material was removed in error, you may send a counter notice to the same address.
07
Enforcement and governing law
We may block access, issue takedown requests or take further action against anyone who breaches these terms. These terms of use are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in force.
